DISCLAIMER: The lesson plans and examples of student work on this site are what an SWH unit MIGHT look like. The SWH approach is not a cookie cutter method that can be replicated in a teacher's classroom exactly the way these lesson plans are written. The goal of this site is to let a teacher new to SWH see lesson plans of teachers who have used the approach in their classroom. The lesson plans were created by teachers in the Waverly-Shell Rock School District using their interpretation of the SWH approach and the Next Generation Science Standards as their guide. Hopefully the information on this site will help you make decisions that best fit your unique classroom.
